Behind the Bureau: What’s Been Happening Lately

Behind the Bureau: What's Been Happening Lately

If I had to sum up the last month in one word, it would be connection.

You can do a lot over a Zoom call, but you can’t replace the energy of being surrounded by people, whether that is on a yacht in Miami, a campus in Venice Beach, a restaurant in Henderson, KY, an office in Toronto, or a dinner table in NYC. Everything we do is built on the strength of our relationships, and lately, those connections have been firing on all cylinders.

Here’s the breakdown of what we’ve been up to.

Welcome to the Roster:

Louisa Nicola

The VaynerSpeakers team is incredibly excited to officially welcome Louisa Nicola to the roster. If you aren't familiar with her work, Louisa is a world-class neuroscientist doing deep research on brain health. She is the person top-tier athletes and high-performing CEOs go to when they want to optimize their brain health for peak performance, and she is bringing those lessons to the stage.

The Miami Sprint:

POSSIBLE & Pulse

I spent some time in South Florida recently, and unfortunately, didn’t make it to the beach…

  • Stage Leaders: Honored to close the day for Jen Gottlieb’s incredible group at Stage Leaders, we discussed tactics and strategies upcoming speakers can utilize to build some momentum for their career. Jen is a master of presence, and we dug into the mechanics of what it actually takes to own a room and turn visibility into opportunity.
  • VaynerX Yacht x Chief: During the POSSIBLE Conference, I hosted a session with Allison Moore and the Chief community right on the water. There is a specific magic that happens when you get leaders out of a stuffy hotel ballroom and onto a boat. The air is better, the ideas are bigger, and the walls come down. Allison shared some vulnerable and real lessons for the group to help them enhance their careers.
  • Pulse Miami: Joining a panel titled "From Attention to Transformation: Why Community Is the New Growth Engine," we talked about the shift from just grabbing eyeballs to actually building a community that moves the needle. Big thanks to Laura Mignott, Charlie Myers, and Dana B. Myers for the great dialogue. I think I turned some heads when I told the audience that there is a difference between a community and just a group of customers.

Other quick hits:

  • Gigi Robinson Podcast: Different from a lot of the podcasts I’ve joined, Gigi focused on the "behind the scenes" reality of the speaking world and how creators need to think about the opportunities speaking can bring. Gigi is a force in the Gen-Z space, and it was great to jam on how that generation is rethinking authority and influence.
  • Ariana Luterman: Ariana was on stage at the Lighthouse campus in Venice, CA, sharing her story and inspiring the audience. She continues to be one of the most resilient voices we have, and the feedback from that session was incredible.
  • Kentucky Derby: It wasn’t all work without some play. I made it out to the Kentucky Derby for a second time. It’s a rare moment where sports, business, fashion, and culture collide in a very specific way. It was a great chance to take a breath (and see some fast horses) before the next sprint.
